Glueing paint flap to a plastic bumper

My Yaris (2007) a patch of paint peeling off the concave part at the right of the rear bumper(I thought that it was a plastic skin stuck to the bumper, so thick it looked). I don't feel like having a respray done right now and wonder if it can be repaired,  maybe by sticking it down with a suitable adhesive. Is this too awful to contemplate? If not, what will bind the paint and the plastic, please?

Thanks,  eyego. Was it any old nail varnish or something fancy? I don't use the stuff, so there might be something important to ask for when I get to Boots...

obviously the nail varnish belongs to my partner although she wasn't happy when she found i used it.

it was just something clear and fast drying that i used thats why i chose nail varnish.

i think the car had a rear end bump sometime in its life and hadn't had a good repair so the clear coat started to peel.
