I have a 151 Auris which the rpm keep dropping too low & car starts spluttering like it's going to cut out this happens every so often on another occasion I was overtaking a car & my car lost power & no lights came on..I've been driving on the motorway doing 130kph & it keeps telling me to go down gears also which I think may have something to do with the revs not being right..just wondering has anyone else heard of experienced anything similar..have had the car back in the garage where they couldn't figure out the problem then it was sent to Toyota Ireland where they said they found a problem & then changed there mind & theres no problem with it..I'm having these problems since the car was 3months old & can't get anywhere with it..CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE..??

What engine does the Auris have? At least we know it is not hybrid, since you mention gear indicator.

Your car is very new and under warranty. Since you have been to one Toyota dealer, there are a few options. Go back to the dealer and get a mechanic to drive with you, go with a male ( I hate to bring up sexisum - should not be happening), go to another dealership.

Has the fault reappeared since Toyota checked the car, and did they tell you what fault they found initially?

A data logger could be plugged into the diagnostic socket and gather info on your car as it is being driven.

Hello Louise - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

Duplicate posts deleted - one post highlighting the issue is sufficient.

As Konrad has asked, which engine do you have - 1.33 petrol, 1.6 petrol, 1.2 petrol turbo or 1.4 diesel?

Sorry I couldn't find if it posted it properly .. It's a 1.3 petrol.. I have been back numerous times to the garage, they drove it for a week (didnt find anthing) then they had it in Dublin for a week & still didn't happen..it only happens intermittently so they put a computer in it in Toyota Ireland & they said they could see the revs going too low (about 500rpm or less) but couldn't figure out why or how to fix it..
