Which brand brake pads?

Can anyone recommend the best quality brand brake pads to use for a Toyota Auris?  I've always thought Mintex were decent but I'm thinking otherwise.  I'm looking for a nice balance between price/quality.

Thanks

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee when members log on to the forums, and whether members who have read your thread will be able to answer your specific query. Being sarcastic won't necessarily raise any responses - possibly the reverse.

I would suggest one makes use of the search function that Toyota Owners Club offers, if responses to one's thread appear to be slow in appearing. Using the search function will probably highlight some of the previous threads raised on this very subject.

I think Mintex are the way to go for cost, durability and stopping power to be honest. They've never let me down. The cheap pads though, they definately have.

I recently had my brake pads replaced. I bought them from the Toyota agent and they were Bosch. My only observation is that it took 2000 miles for the pads to stop squeaking...yet they occasionally squeak a little bit, but at least now it is bearable.

For the record, I also tried spraying two cans of Bardahl and Wurth brake cleaner, but nothing worked. I was told it is the material they are made of.
