New Owner

Hi,

Just picked up my new MR2 (well, new to me). It's an MY92 J-SPEC G-Limited T-bar. In a silver/blue/grey flip colour.

I think it's great - completely standard with cloth interior and all the Jap goodies.

A couple of quick fire questions:

1) Mechanically speaking - are the cars VERY different to the UK Spec?

2) Need a new gator and gear knob - any ideas?

3) Are the roof glass bags a Toyota part number- what is it / should I just phone up the local dealer?

Totally chuffed with it - not especially rapid, but great noise, poise and personality!

Mechanically the car is identical, the electronics were standard on the Jap Cars but not on the UK ones, if you get any problems with the UK Dealers just tell them it's identical just put the UK parts on it, works for me.

If your after the gator and nob and are refering tothe bits that go under the T-Bar to block out the light (in light grey) give me a Private Message, I can provide the lot second hand if required for a reasonable cost :)
