How does one bleed air from the cooling system ?

Hello I have recently started hearing a sloshing noise from under the dash when accelerating in low revs, during my research i have found that the possible cause for this is that there air trapped in the engine coolant so how can I get rid of the air trapped in the cooling system?

Any help will be much appreciated.

if the air is trapped in the heater matrix inside the car then........

1) remove rad cap with coolant being cold

2) remove both heater pipes from under the bonnet at one end ,with the heater set on High pour water through one of the pipes until it runs clear at the other pipe end

with no bubbles present then reconnect the pipes,

3) refil system to max and run engine with the rad cap off , every now and then increase the revs to 2000 and hold for 30 seconds this is to get the coolant to circulate properly

4) keep checking the coolant level and top up if necessary, run the engine until the coolant level stays at the same level

5) when cold top up radiator.
