Thinking Of Going From A 7m To A 1g

just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the 1g motor and if so what are the general thoughts. also how difficult would the swap be?

!g is a good solid engine.. I take it you mean the 1G-GTE 2.0 twin turbo, as opposed to the N/A 1G engies.

as for power if you are used toa 7M-GTE you will find the 1G has a lot less torque, and will seem a bit slower, but it has a nice smooth powerband and revs well, unlike the 7M. a narrow body 1G-GTE car will be pretty much ona par with a standard 7M-GTE car, with the 7M having the slight edge.

The biggest problem with these engines is no one seems to know anything about them over here... if you are a competant DIYer this will not be a problem, and as luck would have it I am about to do a 1G engine transplant in my mk3, and as with all major work I do I will take photos and publisha walk thru guide om my site www.suprasonic.co.uk.
