2007 Aygo Strange Noise and Vibrations

Hi everyone,

My 2007 Aygo has within the last week started making some strange sounds and the feel is overall different. The noises consists of a deep droaning noise from the engine when I release the accelerator which was never there before. When pulling off there is also a faint rattling sound but I can’t be sure of this as it’s quite quiet. Also as I decelerate I notice vibrations from my feet which seem to change in line with the speed. All of this sounds normal for another car but I have had my car for almost a year and none of this has occurred before which is what makes me worry.

I’m clueless about car diagnostics so here’s all the information I can give you:

Aygo

2007

55K miles

Latest service warned of:

Slight corrosion to from brake discs

Slightly cracked drive belt

Small stains on the radiator suggesting a small amount of oil leaking

(apologies if none of this makes sense, I’m doing it from memory and didn’t really understand what it all meant)

I’ve attached 2 files to try and demonstrate the audio but the quality is poor I’m afraid. One to try to show the droan after I decelerate and one of the engine running with the bonnet up when the rattling is more pronounced.

I may just be being paranoid but any advice would be very much appreciated!
