can anyone tell me if i drop my rear prop-shaft on my rav4 (20L vvti)for the summer will it cause any problems to the gear box or any other part of the car and does the mpg rise any?

Not too sure but think you will loose all drive due to differential in gearbox.

Only option is to engage diff lock to drive both outputs from box. This would possibly cause additional fuel consumption!

Be nice if it would improve fuel consumption though!
