Just seen a Yaris and the VIN number stamped on chassis floor under driver seat matches the V5 and the HPI check. But there's also a sticker on passenger side where the first 3 of the last 6 digits is different. It also has a bunch of other codes relating to colour and trim i think...why is that code that matches most of the VIN different. As I say, the stamped number is correct.

The first 3 letters are manufacturer VNK Is france, JTD is Japan the last 6 are the cars ID

Do you have a pic's or the numbers written down, if so send me a PM with them

just to clarify, I'm not too bothered with decoding the codes, just wondered why there would be a difference in those three numbers.
