Auris Geezer 13
Hi, Has anyone swopped out the interior bulbs for LEDs that are a bit brighter please? If so, where did you get them from? Cheers Trev.

furtula 292
There have been several topics, use search, you can find details about bulb sizes and experiences there.
FROSTYBALLS 3,435
Alternatively the full owners manual (not the abbreviated version supplied since approx 2014), gives the bulb types. One can download the full owners manual from https://www.toyota.co.uk/tme#/my-toyota/eManual Can be downloaded either by entering the vehicle's VIN or doing a generic search. I've bought LED bulbs for interior fitment from Amazon previously.

Auris Geezer 13
Would I be correct in assuming the interior lights are not connected to the canbus, so the LEDs won't show up as an error? That's assuming the Auris has a canbus.🤔???
eygo 242
you wont have any error messages after changing to leds i think the canbus only monitors the external lights.
Rav4ster 57
eygo is correct, no errors with LEDs. For the actual bulbs, have a look on ebay and you can get a full set for the specific car.

Packard 10
I changed all of mine from Amazon, lovely bright cool white and still “fades” when times out when locking car. Simple and great mod.

Auris Geezer 13
Thanks to all who have replied here, much appreciated. Here is a photo of the interior light unit, please could you tell me where to prise off the clear covers to access the bulbs? I've checked the manual, both hard copy, and the more detailed online manual, and I've found no mention of how to change the bulb(s). Cheers, Trev.

Packard 10
If your accident prone cover the flat bladed screwdriver with a small sloth so any slippage won’t cause damage
Auris Geezer 13
Fortunately, I'm not too far away from Chester zoo, so getting hold of a sloth won't be much of a problem 🙂 @eygo Just tried it, worked a treat, top man!
MrZardoz 29
Remembered I had a bag of assorted LED bulbs in the garage and just had enough of the right types to swap out my interior bulbs. Nice white light now instead of the yellow.
