Hi guys. I bought a 2011 jap prius recently. It came with an aftermarket stereo system. Thanks to the dealer. I purchased an English 2019 unit to install into my own. There seems to be differences in the wiring loom from the jap end. Most connections are just plug and away you go. When the unit is powered on there is access to the internal cpu for Battery and trip info. Which is why I wanted the original unit in the first place to keep an eye on the hybrid Battery. There are a lot of wires behind the radio that are just hanging there and are individual plugs. These won't fit the new 2019 model head unit. Will I need to get a connector or would I be better off to leave the car with an auto electrician for them to square away for me.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

James

Do you mean you bought a head unit made for a 2019 Prius? I don't think that'll fit in a 3rd generation Prius (2009-2015) at all.

Or are you talking about a Prius α/+ as per your profile? I think there was a facelift in 2014 so could be major changes with the interior/head unit, not sure really.

Is it a JML unit as that has significantly different wiring across all models
