Power steering e100 xli 1.3L 16V

My family owns a toyota corolla (e100 xli 1.3L 16V) that I have become quite attached to. But after a recent break-in it was to some extend made unusable.

It requires a new ignition lock cylinder as well as some other stuff. And the main problem for me is the lack of power steering, because due to the fact that i live in an urban area i have to parallel park daily and it's frustrating.

How can I figure out whether there are bolt holes and/or engine mounts for a power steering rack?

And if so what models have the same rack?

Hi,

Think thats going to be a very hard task as so few folk left using that old model, plus even if there are suitable mounting holes etc, getting a complete working  power steering rack, pipework and pump will be a tall order as very few such models in the scrap yards.

Might be more economic to buy a later model 2002-6  with electric power steering , nice and light!
