Xenons in Toyota Aygo 2015 Model?

Hey everyone,

So I am just looking at upgrading a few things since having purchased the Toyota Aygo X-Cite (which I am very pleased with!). Having come from a previous car having xenons I was wondering if a xenon upgrade is possible? Do they do double fillatment xenon bulbs?

Any recommendations will be appreciated! 🙂

Headlight bulbs in your Aygo aren't double filament - they are HIR2 fitment.

An HID upgrade (or LED) will be an MOT fail as the headlamps are not type approved for anything other than Halogen bulbs and the MOT tester is now supposed to check that the bulb type matches the approval markings on the headlamp - I know someone who had an MOT fail last year because of this after having an HID upgrade for the previous 8 years with no problem.

Ah I see. Sounds like I will be giving this a miss then!
