Fixing The Aerial...

The aerial doesnt go up and down 100% so i have to keep it fully extended or the motor keep on whirring and buzzing for ages when i start and turn off the car.

Can anyone say whether this can be easily fixed? My local Mr.T reckons i need a whole new unit putting in

HOWEVER:

I do have plans to put a revision 3 or 5 spoiler in place on a newer bootlid - would the current aerial get in the way of those style spoilers???

Cheers

Adam

I dont think it'll get in the way cos its the same mounting point for all revisions, but its a different aerial on rev 3 onwards.

The rev 1-2 ones dont sit flush on the wing when the spoiler is removed

so you will need to change it anyway.

Why not have the hole filled and fit a bee sting aerial on the roof?

Or one of those ones that go on the windscreen?

Both much cheaper than a whole new unit from mister T.

Hmmm nice idea - are these easy enough to fit??? quite like the idea of a bee sting stylee one now!

very easy to fit, just drill a hole in the roof and re-route the cable to it

The aeriel is secured by a nut and bolt ;)

Why not, just to be different, mount the beesting in the middle of the engine cover - Lotus Elise stylee
