Hi guys anyone know , when you use your phones (apple) wifi hotspot should you have to re enter The password into the cars infotainment system  Every time the car is switched off then back on ?

The Toyota system can be told to remember a wifi SSID and the corresponding password - so providing the SSID and password remain the same you should have only to enter those details once and the car will automatically reacquire that wifi service when it is available.

Mine certainly does for my home wifi - I haven't yet tried to use my [Anrdroid] phone as a hotspot but am confident that it would work this way ...

Edit: perhaps I should have read the other thread first! 😉

I can't see how the car system is going to know which device is providing the wifi service - it's just a wifi service. So it seems to me that this must be an Apple issue (as suggested by Toyota - mentioned in the other thread) - though, TBH, I can't see how or why Apple is behaving this way ...
