Replacing Wing Mirror Cover

I decided to replace a scratched wing mirror cover on my 2010 IQ (1)  using a paint matched original Toyota replacement part off eBay.

I researched for a while how to replace these covers and found a link to a guide from September 2011 on this forum that was very detailed but involved  removing the mirror and then releasing several clips.

However, this did not go to plan at all, and I ended up simply pulling the old cover off with the help of a plastic trim removal tool.  It clicked off very easily and the new one just pushed and clicked into place.  This was about a 3 min job!

I hope this will be of help to someone else in the future.
