Hi people

I am new here, been visiting the forum for a while but this is my first post ;)

Have been building my AE 86 coupe for the last 3 months, finally on the road since last week :D Suspension and bushings all done, diff and cage going in next week :D

Any coupe's in the UK or are they all H/backs?

Want to come over and do some drift practices in the south, anybody knows about any meets comming up soon?

Would like to post some pictures, but don't know how to

Drifting

Alrite mate, yeah im in the UK with a coupe (and 2 hatchbacks) i also have a mate with a coupe! Were both in the Gloucestershire area!

Try the site address above for drift events! :D

What sort of '86 have you got? Corolla/Treuno/Levin etc??

The only way to upload your piccy's are to already have them on a website or to upload them to TOC but you have to become a Gold member to access this!

I have a Euro Levin :D :D . Just finished my suspension, tokico HTS all around with TRD race springs in the rear and coilovers up front, TRD bushings, T3 camber plates , tribar, NRCA etc.

Started putting in my diff last night, turns out previous owner had put a Zenki diff and I have a Kouki TRD diff! (Car is a 87!)

Looking for a set of straight kouki drive shafts, anybody want to swap 4 Zenki drive shafts for 2 Kouki ones? In urgent need of these, willing to travel for them!

Here is a link to some pictures of my car:

yes, did sell the Evo and bought an AE86 :D

Just out of interest, how easy/hard is it to get a Euro Levin 2 door? Cars lookin cool :)

Thanks

Paz

It is getting harder all the time. Since I bought mine I have only seen 2 other ones for sale for a lot of money and in worse condition than mine. My paint job is not to nice but at least it is solid :D

I have been trying to get two halfshafts, do you know anyone I can try?

Thanks

Rikard

Your coupe is nice. Love the front 4-spoke wheels.

I can get you the Toyota part number to order new kouki shafts if you want. Is the diff that's in there at the moment LSD?

If you want to sell your zenki shafts, I'd be very interested since I am in desperate need of straight shafts!! Bring them over and get some UK drift fun in at the same time! I'm on the South Coast so I'd happily meet up and help you out.

Let us know when you plan on coming over... there's a couple of events this month and next month as well.

Hi

Thanks for the response. I got the toyota part number but they are very expensive. For that money I can get a new Zenki TRD diff and use my Zenki shafts :D

Anyway, found some Kouki shafts, picking them up on Saturday.

I will be selling the Zenki shafts, have 5 of them in total, make me an offer for them. They all seem to be straight and in good condition.

When is the next drift practice in the UK? If it is in the south east I can just make a day trip and bring the parts with me one time.

I love the 4 spoke revolution wheels, have two more on order for the rear, 13 x 8 with a -6 offset :D

There should be less load on the drive train with the 13 inch wheels so I will stick with them for now.

The next event down South is Sunday 15th August at Andover.

I'd be interested in the shafts...have they all got good bearings?

Also, how much do those wheels cost and are they readily available?

Thanks

Out of the 5 shafts at least two have good bearings but they came out of a open Zenki diff so might need to be cut down by 5mm which is not that difficult. I will see if the are the same length as the other LSD shafts. I don't know how good the bearings are in the other shafts as I have not driven with them in but they feel OK.

As for the drift event on the 15th, is it practice or competition? I have to go accross to the UK to drop some things so could come and spectate at the drift event at the same time.

The revolution wheels I got here in Belgium but you can get them from www.revolutionwheels.com. They are about £100 each. I like them, they are so old school, used to see a lot of Mk1 and Mk2 escorts with them on.

Make me an offer on the axles, also have a compleet axle casing, open diff (not much use I guess, but can be welded!) and will most likely have a kouki stock LSD with housing for sale as well.
