Dash Cam connection

Had a Nexbase dash cam fitted by Toyota, can not get Wi-Fi to connect to iPhone 12, anyone know why please.

You have to hold the WiFi button on cam, then go into WiFi on phone, select next base cam, enter passcode.

You can only access camera videos via the app also, unless you remove SD card.

Thanks for the reply. 
                   Once I put the password in, with app or without, it connects and when I close the app or turn off photo. Next time I have to reconnect.

Yes, you do. It doesn’t retain connection; WiFi in camera switches off when you come out of app.

You wouldn’t want to be watching your phone whilst driving. WiFi is only to set up frame, plus other settings and also download files from it.

I also find the camera WiFi works best when it is not competing with other WiFi.
