Put simply, I want a device that can tell me "the traction control kicked in due to FL". Better still would be something that said why, or have wheel speeds.

I'm a techy guy rather than a car guy, but OBD2 scanners (or maybe just their sales blurb) confuse the hell out of me.

I get that some read, some rest flags, some can see limited data, some sound like they can change settings, some can see everything. There's no obvious terms I can see to filter what I want, and prices seem to bear no relation to anything.

So, oh great club, if you have a scanner that does this - what is it and it's it any good?
