Verso clutch

Hi there.

I Hope that someone herefter could tell me if Toyota Verso has a problem with the clutch?

Im the Lucky owner of an 2017 Verso, and in general im very happy with it. It was app 2 years old when i bourght it. But here is the bad Thing....I have had it for about 7 months, when my clutch startede to slip. Only sometimes, and most ofte in cold and wet conditions. During the summer there is nothing, but now its doing it again. My previus Corolla Verso did the same, and I ended up changing it.

Do I have to do it again, or is there anything i can do before spending a ****load of money on a new clutch?

Any ideas would be appriciated. Thanks.

How old is the clutch? The Verso is a heavier car so I can imagine it wearing through clutches a bit faster than the hatchbacks with similar drivetrains.

My clutches generally lasted 2-3 years because of the city-driving stop-start traffic I'm always in, but I know people who've made the original clutch last double or are even still on the original clutch despite doing 2-3x the mileage I do!

I think the clutch is the original. The first Corolla Verso i had did exactly the same after 3-4 years, so i had to get it replaced, and now my Verso is doing it, and i think thats a little odd. And i do not sit with my foot on the pedal and do not use it exessivlly, because i know how expensive it is to get it replaced. And i havn`t heard of any other with the same problem.

But i guess i just have to go the long hard walk to the garage.....

Thanks for the input.

Ours is a 2017 petrol and we get a little clutch judder at top of our street . I have to do a up hill 90 degree turn from a junction which as said quite a heavy car think isn’t helping so I now go a different route but I know that is only masking the problem, Toyota want £1340 to replace
