Must be something daft, a loose plug or bubble gum in the latch

Biggest problem with intermittent faults is when you need things to stop working they bloodywell won't. The doors have been fine for days but I am ready and armed waiting for the next fail point. 🤬

Doors still working fine, maybe pulling connections and re inserting has sorted it, who knows for now but I have a drivers door switch unit ready and waiting if it plays up again.

Since manually operating the door locking using Techstream, there have been no issues at all.

Techstream is Toyota's internal software. It can be obtained via the web and can be made to run on a laptop.

Same issue with my Estima John.

Can you tell me where you got your lock actuator from @JohnGW

Your lock still gong strong since the lashings of lube?

Brenw,

I didnt replace the actuator, although Amazon have the motor if needed. Yes gave it lots of de oxidising cleaner spray which seemed to help a bit but not consistently.  The thing that seems to have fixed it as Its not missed a beat since was using the Toyota Techstream software to operate the lock mechanism via the lap top, beyond that I dont know but it has stopped messing about.

Okay spot on John, thanks.

I have an old laptop and a copy of TS, do I also need a certain type of USB cable? I already use a odblink lx that works grand with phone.

You need a Toyota compatible mini VCI cable.

Just chiming back in here to say that using Toyota Techstream software to operate the lock mechanism has worked for me too and now doors open/close without issue. 🤘
