Yaris Hybrid 2012-2019 Hybrid Battery

Dear Yaris owners,

I am considering a backup car for our family. I am wondering if any of us already have Hybrid Battery issues in Yaris Hybrid. As far as I know, Yaris has identical powertrain as Prius C/Aqua. Back in the USA, many of us had already need HV Battery replacement there, earlier than Prius at the same year/mileage.

Prius warranty was 8y/150k miles and Prius C 8y/100k miles because of smaller Battery pack and higher cycle in Prius C. I had tried Accord 09 2.0L €7k 120k miles, really comfy but no backup camera available.

I am debating myself to get a Yaris or Auris similar year. Yaris 2017 stock (no backup camera) €10k  70k miles and Auris 2016 (Navigation, heated seats, backup camera) €13k, 90k miles.  I know that I can installed backup camera and Navigation on used Yaris parts for about €200 from eBay

2016 Yaris here no issue. Assuming certain US states with extreme hot temperature that affected the HV Battery?

The major difference between these Yaris hybrids and Auris/Prius is in the mg2 cooling that in Yaris transmission only happens by the transmission fluid where in the Auris and Prius coolant from inverter circulates through the transmission electric motor too. The bad hybrid batteries could be as a result of negligence, poor interior hygiene and bad driving habits, ac off in summer, windows down music up 😉👌
