Avensis Onboard Computer and Trip Info

Hello Guys, I have just installed a Pioneer double din in my avensis using a Connects2 adapter. Its in the picture the one i used. Headunit is all working fine including steering wheel control but now the trip computer and gps have stopped working. The screen opens up when you turn on the ignition but the data is all blank. Also the handheld controller can not change any settings on it. Anyone know ehat going on or how to fix it? There was just one plug i was not able to plug in, its the smaller one in the picture, only has 2 cables and not sure what this is for.
