Hoping someone can help me with an OEM Toyota parts question for my Toyota IQ.

I've just bought a Cylinder Rebuild Kit directly from Japan for both the rear calipers and there is a part in the kit I'm not familiar with.

Does anyone know what this unusual metal clip that I've highlighted is for?

There is one for each caliper and there isn't one anywhere on the original calipers that I've removed.

That is the double washer for the banjo bolt (hose to caliper)  👍
