Wrap Vs Paint

My history of car ownership is to swap every couple of years, but my NCP34 is coming up to 4 years. Wanting a change, but not a new car I decided to change the look a little and had the top half wrapped in gloss black vinyl. I’m delighted with the effect, and it seemed much easier than painting.
Question - how long can I expect it to stay looking good. Warranty is 12 months, but the fitter was vague about its life expectancy, too many variables. What are people’s experiences?

Before and after.

Check with your insurance as some will not cover it, As for vinyl there are so many variables brand, quality and colour, a decent ritrama cast vinyl is 3-5 years really high quality stuff is 7-10 years

Low end no name chinese vinyl you can pay £3 a meter top end like a 3M dinoc can get really expensive

one of a few places i use, https://www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/

i was doing vinyl before everyone jumped on the bandwagon, and knocked the bottom out of the market, so i sold my cutter and dye printer (only have a small A3 sized Graphtec for my own stuff now)

Wow, someone actually posted in the BB forum, With an Open deck no less

PS. A black Tonneau cover would make the look

Cheers Bob, I made a tonneau cover from a sheet of aluminium checker plate, which might get powder coated to match the roof
