Bluetooth Connectivity Issue

Hello, I am wondering if anybody has experienced this issue and if so, if they know how to resolve it?
I have recently purchased a second hand, 2018 C-HR, however I am experienced a certain issue when it comes to connecting my phone via bluetooth.
When I turn the car on and try to connect my phone, it tells me it is unable to due to too many paired devices. This is obviously from the previous owners. I therefor delete these devices off the paired device list which then means I am able to now connect my phone. Just for clarity, at this point the phone is definitely connected, as music can be played and my phone is the only device that now appears on the paired device list.

However, the problem occurs once I turn the car off, and then try to use it next time. For some reason, the once deleted paired devices have reappeared which means there are too many devices paired again. I have tried various ways to get around this issue. I have tried only deleting one paired device in the hopes that it will now save my phone, along with the remaining others. I have also tried the option to delete the personal settings in the General settings page. Sadly nothing seems to work.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated with regards to this.

Cheers!
