Toyota Celsior How to Change Satnav to English?

Hi Folks,

Car: Toyota Celsior, 1997 facelift VVTI.

I did a search for other models but answers varied and I think I read somewhere that the Celsior has a different Satnave console unit to the Lexus LS400? In other words it doesn't just swap and plug right in as the wiring and plugs are different. But is this possible? Should I buy a Lexus LS400 navigation unit on the centre console and plug it in - assuming it will swap?.

Or / and should I swap the navigation box CD/DVD drive located in the trunk/boot and if necessary load up one of the navigation CD's to localise it to the UK?.

Just wondering. I don't really want to go down the android route assuming I can and I want to keep it original.

Thanks in advance.

It's a JDM car, it will be Japanese only the nav is so old i doubt it will be of any use - time to go aftermarket or retrofit something from a modern Toyota like a touch2
