Toyota Rolling 10 year warranty?

Looking to buy a 19  Yaris Icon Tech 1.5 that has Toyota dealer servicing at 20,21. & 22 in Feb then serviced by an independant 23 in feb. If I bought the car now 20 months since the last Toyota service would the rolling extra 1 year warranty for each Toyota service kick in or would I be timed out forever from getting tonto he 10 years warranty.

I think because you have had it serviced elsewhere its unlikely Toyota will give you the extended warranty at the next service, why not phone or email your local dealer then you will know for sure.

Presumably the car has been serviced on the time basis (every 12 months) rather than the mileage basis (every 10,000 miles).

Assuming it hasn't exceeded 100K miles, 2019 Yaris will still have a few months of the 5 year/100,000 mile new car warranty remaining, which will have applied from the date of first registration (guessing until February??).

So if you have the next service done at a Toyota dealer, the service-generated warranty (Relax) should kick in. As the last service was done via an independent, one proviso may be that any faults identified at the service which would be covered under Relax from that service, may need to be repaired first at your cost.
