New Software release as per Running Change 6.1 (November 2023).

This Over-The-Air Software Update will be released progressively as of November 20th 2023 to target countries. It is expected that OTA6.1 will be available for all units in operation by the end of November 2023.

Unlike previous OTAs, this procedure consist of two steps process (Step 1 + Step 2) with an ACC-cycle in between.

This new procedure is a consequence of the license expiration issue (Multimedia unable to update due to license validation failure) . The Step 1 will download a new certification license (Package size 0MB) and after a vehicle restart, the Step 2 will download and install the full software update package (Package size 41,5MB) with the final countermeasure for this issue.

Future software updates after OTA6.1 will come back to the 1-Step standard process (OTA + USB back-up).

Summary:

• STEP 1 (New License download) - Update available 1.23.135 1-2, 0MB

• ACC-cycle

• STEP 2 (Head-Unit Software update) - Update available 1.23.135 2-2, 41,5MB

Description of the phenomenon

The phenomena that could be experienced by the customer and that have been solved in subsequent Software releases (Later version includes previous versions' improvements) are listed below.

Software release 1.23.135 is the latest version (Software build version is EUCPL_RF23395A)

List of phenomena addressed by 1.23.135:

• TAS600 Software release version 1.23.135:

  • General items:

    • System cannot update to newer versions due to impossibility to validate the License certificate.

• TAS600 Software release version 1.23.130:

  • General items:

    • No automatic reconnection after ACC cycle or HU restart

    • "No service" does not show when no service is available

    • Android CarPlay not reconnecting or partially reconnecting

    • Same phone connected for Android Auto and bluetooth

    • Media showing "Loading content..." indefinitely when Spotify is not connected/no music selected

    • Phone does not connect for Android Auto if Android CarPlay was previously connected

    • TransportFlash, Warning/Service and AreaWeatherFlash announcements displayed as NewsFlash

    • Italian translation wrong in Radio settings for DAB

    • Android Auto Waze Guidance shows only distances of next manoeuvre at startup

    • Improper station list behavior when station in multiple ensembles

Note

Connectivity module (DCM600) items will be separately updated after the software version 1.23.030 or newer is successfully completed. This update mechanism can take between 3 and 21 days, but this process is carried out in the background without any action required by the user.

To confirm DCM600 software version (New 1.0.0B12 / Previous: 1.0.0B10), follow the route:

Just a thought have you had a recall completed on your e-call SOS system?

After start up on and a few blinking LED on the SOS switch does it settle to a fixed green light & does your Navigation screen show a 4G symbol with a signal strength?

Hi Mr D.  I only purchased the car in October, so I don't know. I see a steady fixed green light, so I guess that's ok?

I can't get into the navigation screen because I get the message "software update needed" so I don't know!

Ok have you registered with MyT, Linked your head unit to MyT via the QR code, as online services are a subscription ( free for a period, 4 years IIRC ) and need you to subscribe by accepting the T&C's

I haven't seen a QR code but I have registered on Toyota.co.uk and confirmed ownership there.

I have downloaded the app and the car is registered there.  I have opted "in" to all three of the services for the car, standard, remote and smart services.

I am unable to access the MyT services on the screen in the car because it says software update needed.

Is that what you mean?

Just checked my version 1.23.010 and says it is up to date.   

Date is 2023/3/8 which I guess is March 

As the software is 'up to date' should I leave it or get it done?

I already got mine yesterday but I am outside UK. It can be sent in a different timing per country.

I mean : no reason to think, if you are inside UK, that there is something wrong.

It is now 30th November and I am still unable to download the OTA software update,I have exactly the same issue as as a previous member post "  On 11/22/2023 at 8:09 PM, ikcdab " does anyone have any suggestions or can offer help as to how I can resolve this problem. Is there any possibility to source the update version 1.23.125 from Toyota and have it loaded via USB. Or must I just continue to wait and try the OTA software update every other day.I am having no success with the Toyota garage where this car was bought in April 2022.

Hi All,  I would just like to confirm that the OTA software update which we have been waiting on was  available for download this morning here inAustria , I successfuly downloaded and installed the latest version 1.23.135 on my system, all functions appear to be working.  It has been a bit of a Saga to arrive here but all is well that ends well. Wishing everyone all the very best for Christmas and a great 2024.

I checked  yesterday.  I now got the update message and appear to be IIRC ar 1.23.010 (possibly 1.23.100)

Then Server is at maximum capacity but also a bar that said Download 100%.

I got my update some 6 weeks ago (France). I'm just seeing, today, that I now have the new DCM, updated from 1.0.0B11 to the new 1.0.0B12 version. 😋

Who has what software version in the car.  For me (monthly 2022.02.) 01.23.10.  and it says it's up to date.  The version number in Hungary would be 1.23.136, but it is not updated.

I'm in the UK.  Mine is 1.23.135.  dated 28/9/2023

I received the update to 1.23.136 today.

Just struggled to make everything work on the device after the garage did a 'restore to factory settings' . Now after the update several things stopped working again.

Like there was : connection to my profile, connection to android auto, wireless android auto.

Its gonna be a pain in the but. Hope i can make everything work again this week.
