Does find my car really work?

I have had my Yaris for a month.  Love it. I just the MyT app a lot and I like the map function which shows the car location

It went back to the dealer today for a fix on the software and they took away access on the app. It says "another installation of myT has been granted access to your vehicle"....or something similar.

So it struck me, how secure is it really? If someone steals the car, can't they just download the app and log themselves in, thus I would not then be able to track the car?

Hi Ian,

Anything is possible to hack but without the sign on credentials etc it would be difficult but not impossible with the right software. IMO I wouldn't worry just enjoy the car.
