Currently running 19”…would you recommend 18” or 17”

I’m looking for advice form the experienced ones……(that’s you guys and gals by the way 😉🧐) I currently have 19” Invincible wheels, but limited as to the variety of All Terrains I can run. It came with Yokohama Geolander’s GO56’s on but I don’t trust Yokohama’s on slate byways 🥵🫣 (Photo below…and that was 1 of 2 tyres that the sidewalls gave way on that trip (the sidewalls really do have the consistency of wet kitchen roll) The price between 17” and 18” tyres is negligible and therefore I’m open to suggestions as to what you ladies and gents currently prefer, or advice either way? Many thanks
