Panel on top of rear hatch - what is it for?

Corolla Touring Excel: our hatch has a plastic panel above the window, so does anyone know what it is there for?

If these are the plastic flaps over the rear windows on both sides they are for the parcel net, open the pull down flaps then pull up the parcel net located in the rail which has the luggage cover, each end of the header bar fit into the slot, then move to lock into place.

Sounds like the aerial access panel if it is centre of the window in the headlining.
