Hi, I was wondering if i would be able to fit lowering springs from a sr180 on to my sr 1.6 vvti form 2008 and if its same to run them ? The reson why im asking this is beacuse i have stock springs on the back and want to slam my car at least on the back for cheap

  Hi, mr. Dimi !

It's possible you can not do this because SR180 has multi link suspension but other 2008 models don't have, your car has same suspension as mine (1.4 petrol), AFAIK.

I'm not sure of that, a direct comparison would help, check the lenght of the spring, diameters, etc.

So, these lowering springs are made for 2.2 diesel Aurises:

and these are for others:

I think this is more conclusive...

They look the same in the pictures indeed, but in many ads, pictures are generic, description is more accurate and reliable...

They won’t give you a ‘slammed’ look really anyway. I’ve got Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs on stock mk1 struts and they’ll take it lower (5-10mm?) than the SRs I think. Still bags of room in the arches and fine over speed bumps which was the main thing for me.

SR180 has independent rear rather than torsion bar on 1.6 too.

ah sorry, Tavy, you already mentioned that.

HSD Auris introduced in 2010 has slightly lower and stiffer suspension. Might be worth comparing.

A user, some time ago, posted a pic of its Mk1 on lowered springs. He said it made a difference on cornering. It is a thread around here somewhere.

That was me in a reply to Slippy One I think:
