2008 selector shaft fix, diy?

Hi all

My next challenge with my 2009 Yaris TR is notchy 2nd gear.

I've read the 'crunchy gearbox' posts about the selector shaft and don't think I could get away with asking Toyota to fix it 😉

I swapped out the fluid with royal purple and it's worse. Gonna put some 70/80 in it to see if it helps. Took weeks to get the old filler and drain plugs out and the old oil stinks!

Does anyone know if there's a kit that can be purchased off the shelf for a DIY attempt AND does the box need to come off ?

Thanks in advance
