boot seal

Hi All

Need a boot seal for a Avensis T27 1.8TR saloon 2010 

contacted Toyota online and they said the estate boot seal fits the saloon.

Rang Bolton Toyota and they say it doesn't fit

Has anybody got the estate version? if so could you measure the length for me

Yes I have. It's not delivered in one piece like the OEM one which is annoying. You have to adjust it to fit and that could lead to a rather unpleasantly looking gap (if you like things neat).

Also the one from Genuine Motors doesn't seal the same way the OEM one does. The OEM one has a seal that sits flush to the body where as this one leaves a bit of a ridge. It's hard to explain.

I would never buy anything else but an OEM boot seal ever again even though it costs like three times as much.

I think it's a bit misleading that they say it's specific to the Avensis when it's really just a slightly more upscale version of a universal boot seal.
