Show and tell - oil filler tip.

Not really related to any specific Toyota model, it applies to most.  The photo is my daughter’s 108 which of course is a Badge engineered Aygo.  It’s had its MOT and annual wash (I discovered daughters don’t wash cars soon after they acquired them).  It’s a 2017 with 15000 miles on the clock.   It’s had an oil change, air and cabin filter as I try to do a rolling program of maintenance.  Anyway, I thought I’d show you my tip for avoiding an irritating oil spill.  The thread on a 1 litre oil tub is exactly the same as virtually every Toyota engine so cut the bottom off and use it as a funnel.  Save the bottom as it stops dust going in when you store it.

And you can cut off the top of the bottle to make a funnel that doesn't blow over, ever.

EDIT: And now I've actually read your post in full and see you mentioned it. Doh! 🫠

I've always wondered if this is a deliberate design choice or coincidence. It's been like this since, well, I first noticed it in the 80's or whenever they moved from metal containers to larger plastic bottles. I'm curious.
