Fuel prices

One excellent feature of the sav nav in our RAV4 is the feature to show fuel prices, either in the vicinity or en-route. Or it would be if it worked!

When we first got the car it worked well, but recently it only works very, very occasionally.

Is anyone else having this problem, does anyone know why it's no longer reliable or does anyone know how to fix it?

There's an App for that in the eStore: FUEL_MWAY - Find the nearest, cheapest and most convenient place to fill up.

Or at least there is on my 2020 model. It might be worth checking that you have this and that it is still in date / valid ...

I vaguely recall something about the online/toyota app store gubbins being subscription service, no? As in your access was free for a period of time, and then it was implied you'd be expected to subscribe thereafter. I disregarded it at the time because I solely use Android auto and waze, so it seemed irrelevant, not to mention about 15yrs behind the curve in terms of user interface and lag times etc when compared to AA. 

 

Perhaps your fuel service thing requires a subscription now?
