Display Unit won't turn on. Suspecting missing connector

I am new to fixing my car so I apologise if I use made-up terminology.

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla. The Display Unit which normally shows the temperature and the times, as well as controls the cassette player, is not turning on. It is completely blank. I have take the unit out, I can see it has space for two white connectors. The larger one on the left is connected (now unconnected) the smaller one on the right is missing, there is no connector. I have practically taken apart the front of the car trying to find it. I am assuming it is the power for the unit and that it has come loose and fallen out, but I simply cannot find it. I come to you all now with where that wire begins, whether it even exist at all and what to do.

Kind regards,

Joe
