Semi automatic

Hello all, looking to buy a 3dr land cruiser, what's the difference in semi automatic and automatic or should I buy manual?. Gonna be pulling a trailer but not constantly. Odd bit of field work too.

Thanks Bper. I'm 50 50 on what to do though I'm more pushed towards manual.
