Carina Ii Exec

I have a Carina II Exec on a H plate and was considering a engine powers. Having served an apprentiship with Toyota GB in the early 90's i was wondering about the difference between the 3S-GE and 3S-FE engine's as fitted to the Celica and Carina. Has anyone had any experince of dropping the Celica's more powerful lump into the Carina as essentially they are the same engine. Does anyone know what the exact differnces are, power etc. Many thanks in advance.

I think the mounts are the same although not 100% sure !!

Why not think about the 3S-GTE and get the Turbo version :D
