£470 ?? hmmm far far too expensive for just a simple delimit job. The unichip may delimit but why pay the extra £400 (especially for a unit which will do zip).

First of all tell us what supra it is.. its gotta be an import but is it mkiv or mk3? 2.0,2.5 or 3.0?

Either way, theres a guy not too far from you in Kenilworth who can do the job, and makes very good delimiters/converters. his site is at www.trlperformance.com and he *really* knows his stuff (check out his DCXinfinity project whilst youre there, amazing stuff).

But you have to tell us which supra it is.. there are issues with the 2.5tt mk3 inport supra which cant be solved with a conventional delimiter, but the guy above has reprogrammed one of his for this purpose (ive got one on mine).

A unit that won't do ZIp, do you have experience of the Unichip as that is one term I definately would not use for this chip. The chip is only as good as the installation engineer but can add a considerable amount of power to the vehicle (obviously more so for a turbo, NA being a minimal increase) but the power gains availabel are superb...

Of course if you class an increase in power, a smoother power curve, better fuel economy and increased torque as doing absolutely zip then you may be right but in my opinion and from the installations I have seen then I'm afraid I would have to dismiss that comment as complete BS.

Of course, that would just be my simple opinion !

Someone here have shares in UniChip?

They are only as good as the mapper and the mapping I have seen on the majority of them is ****. My opinions are my own and in no way should be confused with reality.

You have been warned.

Try www.f-e-s.demon.co.uk for a delimiter. About £80 all up.

Apologies, i didnt realise you were talking about a programmable unit.. so yes, of course if you remap, optimise ignition etc etc then the unichip will work... But id aggree dosenöffner .. there are MUCH Better units out there.. e-manage is cheaper, and i'd say more user friendly.. AEM and MINES are even better.

He DID only ask for a delimit, not a full engine management which would only be beneficial to him after some other mods.

Please dont tell me youve got one on your n/a rhaines.. now that would be silly.

Paul M.. if its a mk4 go to Pete at TRL at the address mentioned above.. he specialises in mk4 engine management (he has a mkiv) and there are clear instructions on how to fit the units at his website.

Also, check the mkiv owners at www.mkivsupra.net/bbs

Glen/ Dosen, as I said...

If you get it done on the cheap your asking for problems....

and Adi,

Please dont tell me youve got one on your n/a rhaines.. now that would be silly.
, Nope not yet, it will get done with time but ahve a few other MR2's to buy first !! I have seen N/A's with the chip on them and although the Bhp increase (lol) is not even worth mentioning the difference (not talking power here) is noticeable)....

And nope, no stocks in Unichip just believe from what I have seen that it is a superb chip to have IF installed correctly, am also not trying to say it is the only chip out there but without personal experiences of any of the other mentioned chips would be stupid for me to comment on them, as I said earlier this is purely my opinion and should be treated as such !

Agree with everyone.

Wait for the Link ECU. It should be released for the 2 litre Toyota range soon. I'm running a hybrid one at the minute. Works great.

The following site should help you make up your mind if you want unichip or not. E-mail them and ask about the gains. Make sure to include the model
