:!Removed!: can you get reconditioned engine blocks and head for lucida 2.2td ?

if so where from and at what cost,

having trouble with Water getting into the oil. bought a top end gasket set

getting the head skimmed, hopefully to resolve this problem,

it's not looking too good at the mo, head not yet off,

if the worst has happened, will need new block/head ?

I would really appreciate any input or tips

thank you in advance from Brian :!Removed!:

you only need block if you mashed up the bottom end! when you do head gasket you might find that you change your rad, thermostat, and water pump at same time.

Thank you for your tips, I had coolant in with the oil, still seems to be a problem,

at the mo it's at a garage being put back together, will have to investigate further when I get it back (not really looking forward to it in the slightest), again thanks for the tips al.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news at this time of year, but this is almost certainly due to a cracked cylinder head. :crybaby: They tend to fail around no.4 when there is any fault in the cooling system. :( The temperature gauge should NEVER rise above a point just below half way, even when towing in mid-summer. If it does - STOP!! :o
