K&n Filter®

Hi,

Im thinking of getting a K&N Filter® replacement air filter for my 2001 Avensis(Face-lifted version)....but are they really worth it?, do they give more BHP and acce;eration?

will you be removing the stock induction box in favour of a cone intake or just placing a panel filter in the stock box?

A cone filter - will increase throttle response, will be throaty and loud, but wont make the car faster realy, its pretty much placebo, although it may shave 0.25 off 0-60, it isnt realy that noticeable. combined with a performance exhaust, that 0-60 may drop by .75 secs.

a panel filter will be much the same but quietr. drill holes in the stock box for throaty sounds.

Ill just be replaceing the pannel filter.

you may have slightly improved throttle response and a slight noise change but thats all really

bes thing is the KN has the 1,000,000 mile warrenty (as long as you keep the receipt )

which is a darn sight longer than toyotas efforts! and they are much higher quality :D
