Every German beer is brewed to german purity laws ! Additional there are some different types of beer. "Franziskaner" is a "Weissbier" (wheat beer) and normaly comes in 0,5liter-glases like this:

More info (in english): http://www.franziskanerbraeu.com/0_start/index.htm

Another type is "Pils", the most popular beer in Germany. My favourite one is "Bitburger" : http://www.bitburger.com/index.php?id=1136

Bitburger is one of the biggest brewerys in Germany and located not far away from the Nürburgring.

Cheers !
