Assuming that by "dump valves" (chav term) you mean Vent to atmosphere blow ov valves, then yes. they do affect your fuel economy. (depending on car)

However the difference is so small, if you have to ask, in my eyes you should seriously review the economy issues of owning a turbo car.

the atmospheric BOVS vent air to the atmosphere that has previously been registerd by the AFM.. this means that the injectors match the registered air with the correct amount of fuel, even though half of the air is vented off...

result?

overfueling, you use more fuel, lose performance, and in some cases over fuel so much you wash the bores and end up with serious engine wear.

I cannot understand why people want atmospheric dump valves, unles they owna fiesta/nova/cav/calibra turbo and want to show the world that they have a turbo in it...

I just like the sound

Although I do have a 3d mappable ECU on it now which I hope sorts out those problems.

(certainly never had any engine problems since installing it anyway)

Here comes a chav question (sorry) Can you disconnect some of the piping on the standard re-circulating valve so that it "blows"
