the gap for pre August 2000 Echos is 1.1mm and anything after that the gap is .8mm

So NCP13 is 1.1mm

NCP12 is .8mm

Check ur compliance plate inside the engine bay for the engine code

Echo is high compression engine so it uses less ignition gap

NCP13 is the T-Sport chassis which wasn't released until around mid 2001, NCP12 is a sedan chassis which we never got in Europe. Both run the 1.5 1NZ-FE engine. Plug gap 0.8mm

His car has a 1.3 2NZ-FE engine. Plug gap 1.1 mm. He doesn't have to run out in the cold to check his VIN-plate, the chassis code is NCP10, unless he imported a 4WD version and somehow got it E-SVA'd, it would be NCP15 then.

Yves.
