What you got to bare in mind when you get a high miler is the amount of miles you're likely to do on top every year [behave].

as for shows etc. there all worth the driving im sooo glad i joined this place now it makes modifying, moaning an motoring so much easier! :)

Lol talk about a small world!! :D :D I work in the Town centre too..do a fair amount of mileage from here tho..11 miles each way..get to let the car run on the A13 tho..which she doesnt mind! :yes:

Welcome to the forums.

I've just bought a '90 Corolla GTi-16. I've driven quite a few cars before this one, and this is a pocket rocket! 130 BHP revvy 1.6.

I would suggest that you take it very easy driving the car at first, it can be an animal, it is very quick and handles well. I wouldn't want to drive it if i'd just passed my test, because I'd want to get used to driving slower cars first.. But thats probably just me.

There is alot of difference between your average 1.6i engine and the 4AGE block. It is designed for performance.

Lets take your average 1.6 lump for example a mk2 Golf. They produce 75BHP. The 1.6 in the corolla produces more like 130BHP... it will be ALOT quicker than what you are used to, unless you have a very hot 1.6 in the car you drive at the moment.

If you don't rev the car very high you won't get that much power out of it though.

Suprised the girls havent already mentioned this, but have a look at the SoTOC site (little insight into the fun that is TOC Gold with the girls)
