Zymol

Needed to clean the car ready for the Bracknell meet today so went down to Halfords and went a bit silly...

Auto Glym Shampoo

Auto Glym Paint Restorer

Electric buffer (I'm lazy)

Zymol Polish

Back to Blck

Wonder Wheels

few other bits and bobs that I can't remember....

Anyway took 7.5 hours to clean the outside of the car (I'm knackered).. but what a difference....

Zymol, great finish, just starting to drip with rain so will see how good it is in the morning and it smells like you should be rubbing it on yourself in the sun somewhere :)

Hi zee

What this Meguiars stuff like? Can you pick it up in Halfords? And how much would you expect to pay out for this polish mate.

Never heard of Meguiar before but just did a quick Google search and came up with http://www.meguiars.co.uk/index.html It makes interesting reading so I might give it a go. There is also a dealer locator on the website - very handy and can also buy online so no excuses for not having a shiney car for me

If your feeling flush, then this is the stuff to get.

Bit on the expensive side, but free refills for life, so could work out cheap over a long time...

I love the instructions....

1.Put a very small amount of the glaze to the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands to melt the Carnauba. With your hand, gently apply the glaze in a light, even pattern over no more than two or three square feet of painted surface.

2. Let Vintage stand for up to five minutes

3. Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a flat towel (folded once) to a brilliant luster before wax is totally dry.

4. Wait three to four hours, then lightly buff the paint again to

perfect the shine.

If at £ 1100 per pot is a little on the cheap side, the Zymol Royale at US$ 5000 per pot is more like it...

You still get free refills for life though, and you are allowed to leave it to someone in your will and they will get free wax too...

I wouldn't mind :) Better than nothing I suppose and as it's part of a package :)

Better than being left the stamp collection...
