95 Previa S/c Keeps Blowing Efi Fuse....

This morning I drove my 95 S/C Previa a few miles from my house before the engine shut down :help:

Checked all the fuses and found that the 15A EFI fuse had blown...

I replaced it and it blew again...

I put a larger fuse in and it started, but then blew again soon later....

I then stepped up to a 30A fuse (all I had left) and it was enough to get me home, but then it blew as soon as I pulled into the driveway :(

I have yet to begin diagnosing the problem, but I'm guessing the Fuel pump is probably shorting out....

Is this is a common problem among Previa's?

I hope you can hjelp me my previa is doing the exact same thing that yours did.

What did you do to fix your problem?

I have a spare fuel pump but have not put it in yet hopping to change it out on saturday.

Thanks Steve

Whoa, a blast from the past lol

The problem turned out to be the wiring harness above the exhaust....

The Flexpipe had a leak and melted part of the wiring leading to the fuel pump <_<

I rewired everything and routed it away from the exhaust and she's been running rock solid eversince B)

I found that this is somewhat of a common problem among Previa's, 4-Runner's, Land Cruiser's and Supra's according to the numerous messageboards I've visited inquiring about it....

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes

Rick
