try to follow it from one of the back calipers, to where they join together, and then to the adjustment thingy itself. Track backwards, its easier :D

If it's a Burnaston built Carina E, your adjuster is situated at your handbrake lever.

You will need to take off lever surround ( 1 screw & unclips ) & you will see cable adjuster nut running vertical up the base of lever.

Loosen & remove lock nut then adjust off nut on cable. Adjust a bit at a time & keep trying until you get 3/4 notches.

Don't forget to replace the lock nut.

Are you sure your rear shoes are not worn b4 you adjust cable?

alot od the times the hand brake adjustmeant is under the console that is around the handbrake and its usually a nut which u can tighten... usually the cover just screws off with 4 screws its actualyl really easy.... however if you have drums on the rear you may want ot adjust the drums before you adjust ur hand brake... its always a good idea
